Water boils at sea level at 100°C. The boiling point of water decreases about 5°C for every mile above sea level. Santa Fe, New Mexico is at 7200 feet above sea level. At about what temperature does water boil in Santa Fe? (hint: 1 mi = 5280 feet).
@Hope_nicole
first you have to find out how many miles Santa Fe is above sea level, then you multiply that by 5 to figure out how much the boiling point decreases.
what do i multiply ?
reread what i said and see what you come up with
i dont understand what your saying
you have to find out how many miles Santa Fe is above sea level. it tells you it is 7200ft but you need it in miles....so you would divide the 7200 feet by how many feet are in a mile(5280) once you get that answer, you then multiply by 5 since thats the decrease for every mile
i got 93.52
