If I use a famous quote do I need to put it on a Reference page or just post the quote in my document with credit given to the person who made the quote?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can give a reference as a footnote... but in the reference page, it would be better if you quote the source of your finding.

If you know when they said it, write the citation based on that. For example: if you're quoting something said during a presidential speech... look up how to quote a speech.

It's always best to try to track down the original reference of something to give the right person credit.

You know that best seller, Eckharte Tolle? His book is a COMPLETE off-shoot of Descartes philosophies. Just saying.
