Write the equation of the line with a slope of -5 and a y-intercept of (0,3) please help!?

OpenStudy (gavlois1):

We know that the equation of a line is in the format \[y=mx+b\] m is always the slope, while b is the y coordinate of the y-intercept. This means m = -5 and b = 3 If we plug these into the equation, we get \[y = -5x+3\]
