sooo 2y+4z=2?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yep,
Now you have two equations:
5y + 6z = 5
2y + 4z = 2
Can you solve them to find y and z or not??
OpenStudy (anonymous):
nootttttt
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Multiply first equation by 2 and second by 5.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok hold on

Take your time..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so 10y+12z=10
10y+20z=10?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Going very nice..
Good.
Now subtract both the equations...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
8z=0
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay, or -8z = 0 (if you have done like this 12z - 20z = 0_
Nevermind.
So what is z now??

8z = 0, so z is??
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so z=0?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yep, now put z = 0 in any one of the two equations and find y there..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oka hold on

Take your time..

y=1?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yep,
So z = 0 and y = 1 now find x by putting y and z in any one of three equations you earlier have at the starting..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
x=-1?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Let me check, I have not checked yet for x..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
take your time ;)

x = -1 ??
Check it again, which equation you are putting y and z??
OpenStudy (anonymous):
-2x+2y+3z=0
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So plug in the values carefully..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Check it once again and take your time :P
OpenStudy (anonymous):
sooo not -1? just 1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yep..
Because by putting z = 0 you will get:
-2x + 2y = 0
Subtract 2y from both the sides:
-2x = -2y
Now multiply by -1 to cancel minus both the sides:
2x = 2y
Putting y = 1:
2x = 2
Divide by 2 both the sides
x = 1..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
YAY!!!!! is that it??
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So you got: x = 1, y = 1 and z = 0 and that's it..
