Graph. 3x+y=7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Isolate Y by subtracting 3x from both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3x+y=7 y = -3x + 7 x - intercpt x= 7/3 , y = 0 y - intrcpt x = 0 , y = 7 so you have two points (7/3 , 0) and (0, 7) now plot these two points and join them with a line and get your graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7/3,0 that's one point?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you put that on a graph? @rizwan_uet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7/3 = 2 1/3 = 2.333333333 that means you put a dot on the X-axis 2.333333 units to the right of the Y-axis.

Thank you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YW! :-)

BTW, you should be nice and give a medal to rizwan_uet. He did all the legwork on this problem! :-)
