A firecracker shoots up from a hill 150 feet high with an initial speed of 110 feet per second. Using the formula H(t) = −16t2 + vt + s, approximately how long will it take the firecracker to hit the ground? 8 seconds 9 seconds 10 seconds 11 seconds

OpenStudy (nubeer):

hmm what is "s" and v in your equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no clue

OpenStudy (nubeer):

well H(t) might be the height but that s dont know maybe the displacement.. it is.. but untill we dont know what it is no one can help.

OpenStudy (nubeer):

v is the speed.. so still need to see what is s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, well this is jus how the problem came. im ugessing if u dont know how to do it, then im js screwed :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*guessing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@nubeer s is the initial height and v is the initial velocity, i looked it up

OpenStudy (nubeer):

sorry had so many notif didn't saw urs untill u tagged me up. let me see if i can figure out.
