So you have had the Pythagorean Theorem?
OpenStudy (meilendurcer):
kinda i guess but i didn't really get it
OpenStudy (meilendurcer):
i always guessed
OpenStudy (mertsj):
Go back to the other question...the one about the distance between the points.
OpenStudy (meilendurcer):
is it A?

You have to learn to do this right.
If the numbers are pythagorean triples, you square each of the numbers. Add the two little ones together. That should equal the third number.
OpenStudy (mertsj):
What is 60^2?
OpenStudy (meilendurcer):
36,000
OpenStudy (mertsj):
What is 70^2
OpenStudy (mertsj):
60x60=3600

What is 100^2
OpenStudy (anonymous):
After you're done I might be able to show you a shorter way to do this. Tag me when you're done.
OpenStudy (meilendurcer):
10,000
OpenStudy (mertsj):
Add 3600+4900

So it does not equal 10000 so the first one is NOT a pythagorean triple.
OpenStudy (mertsj):
Try the second one.
OpenStudy (mertsj):
Does 18^2+24^2=30^2
OpenStudy (meilendurcer):
actually i did think it was D i just went over my last test.

So you didn't do 18^2 +24^2???
OpenStudy (meilendurcer):
as my second choice though.
OpenStudy (meilendurcer):
i will now
OpenStudy (meilendurcer):
its 900
OpenStudy (mertsj):
What is 30^2 ?

So is that one a Pythagorean triple or not?
OpenStudy (meilendurcer):
yes
OpenStudy (mertsj):
So we are done with this one. Want to go back over to the distance problem and do it?
OpenStudy (mertsj):
I take your silence to be a no.
