what are the similarities of quince and sweet 16?

Hi @abrilcuautle, \[\Huge \color{red}{\text{Welcome To OpenStudy}}☺ \] Well, quinceñeras... Quince = fifteen The origin of the quinceñeras: At 15 young girls "came out" into society. It was their coming of age, and they had/ have a party with friends & family and were/are treated like princesses. As for the sweet sixteen... Birthday bash for girls who turn 16. It doesn't really have a "tradition" involved in it. Let me know if I can help in any other way. (:
