if the entropy of the universe is ever increasing, what will happen to the energy of the universe?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the relationship between entropy and energy?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

All systems tend to maximum entropy and minimum enthalpy.

OpenStudy (ash2326):

@hkim Please post this in Physics. http://openstudy.com/study#/groups/Physics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There's an eventual heat-death, where entropy is at a maximum, until a Poincaré point, where the system will come back to some low-entropy state.

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

some physicists believe that it will be the end.

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

I don't know this for certain nor any physicist. It seems that there are still a lot of stuff to figure out about everything.

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

welcome back btw @hkim

OpenStudy (anonymous):

From what we know, this will be the case. But, again, this may be entirely overturned. Although, as of right now, the heat-death is the most likely theory as per our state of knowledge.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol hey glad you remember me @nincompoop
