Simplify to lowest terms (16a^2/4a+5b) - (25b^2/4a+5b)

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

same denominator makes it easy as you have \[\frac{16a^2 - 25b^2}{4a + 5b} \] the numerator is the difference of 2 squares... and will hava a factor that will cancel with the denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its -9ab^2/4a+5b, I added both the numerators together

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

not quite try \[\frac{(4a + 5b)(4a - 5b)}{(4a + 5b)}\] hope this helps you to simplify the expression.
