help?

OpenStudy (phi):

for the 2 matrices to be equal, corresponding positions must be equal

OpenStudy (gorv):

@phi is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i do that @phi

OpenStudy (gorv):

-12=2k k=-6 like this equate others

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok! @grov is that all.. is that the final answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@gorv

OpenStudy (gorv):

yes in triangle.... side opposite to smallest angle is largest always

OpenStudy (gorv):

@lala2

OpenStudy (phi):

I think they want you to solve for all the letters

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes..

OpenStudy (phi):

can you set up the next equation ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok I will try that

OpenStudy (phi):

writing down the equation should be easy: you have 2 to solve -w^2 = -81 and 2f = -14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i got 2f=-14 = f=-7

OpenStudy (phi):

yes. but I would write it as 2f = -14 f = -7 on separate lines. (not with the = between the 2 equations because it is confusing)

OpenStudy (phi):

for -w^2 = -81 this is the same as -1 * w^2 = -1 * 81 one good first step is multiply both sides by -1 (or divide both sides by -1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ phi sorry my computer froze..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@phi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help me with this one please

OpenStudy (phi):

Did you find w in the previous problem ?
