OpenStudy (da_scienceman):

Any links to plotting gradient vector fields? Please the best link..

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if you are talking about having an equation like: y' = xy+3x^2 the equation itself defines the slope of a vector at a given point (x,y)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

depending on how fine of a grid you desire, the vector field creates a "negative" of the solution since it outlines the tangents to the given curve at any point (x,y)

OpenStudy (da_scienceman):

yes I even have some code I got from some link as well. which software are u using? I programmed it in matlab but u need the symbolic toolbox

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i dont have any software to assess them, i just know the principle behind it :)

OpenStudy (da_scienceman):

okk i thought u needed to see d fields.
