OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

what do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i dont know thats why i need help

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well, did you see my picture? those 2 black lines are exactly the same length, now check the angles the RED and BLUE lines make :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im lost here

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

in your picture, the 2 lines coming from \(\angle A\) are 8 each, so they're equal, and they have a straight line crossing through them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohkay so what do i do?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

because the lines are each 8, the same, that means the "crossing line' crosses them at the same length

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

check my picture, does the RED line make the angles the same as the BLUE? are they different or the same?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

same?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

yes, they're the same otherwise the length of each would differ

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohkay.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so what is \(\angle A\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wouldnt it be 30?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

dunno, how many degrees does a triangle have total?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

30 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it cant be determinded.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well, what do you see in that picture?
