OpenStudy (cwrw238):
then you need to factor the quadratic 5x^2 + x - 2
have you done these in class yet?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
no its a 5 question pretest. Im not allowed to look ahead and get the gist of anything until I do my pretest.
OpenStudy (cwrw238):
well you can try expanding each of the options util you get the original expression

I dont know.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
the answers is B
OpenStudy (cwrw238):
well you multiply the second bracket by 5x then by - 2:
= 5x(x + 1) - 2(x + 1)
can you do that?
OpenStudy (cwrw238):
can you continue from there?
OpenStudy (cwrw238):
@julianchico - its best not to just give the answer - but to explain how to get the answer - otherwise there is little benefit to the questioner.
