How was the Republican approach to the presidency different from that of the Federalists? Republicans wanted to increase military expenses. Republicans wanted to expand U.S. territory westward. Support for Thomas Jefferson throughout the entire Western frontier assured his victory over John Adams in the presidential The last to are tricky because they DID want western expansion and that is what won Jefferson as president but it didn't actually start till 1807 and stopped 1912 and it was lead primarily by President Andrew Jackson So I'm going to go with C, but i'm not 100% on it, read what i gave you and you can make your own decision this is just mine.
