If a number n is subtracted from 18, the result is four less than n. What is the value of n? (Write an equation first before solving.) a. 11 c. 9 b. 10 d. 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Think which one equals 4 when subtracted from four, apparently 9 and 11 are too low and would equal something higher when subtracted, apparently it would be 15 because 10 is also to low

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer would be D in this case

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The equation form of your word problem is: 18-n = n-4 You should be able to take it from here to solve for n. :-)
