can any one answer it plsee

OpenStudy (jim766):

two villagers have 250gm and 350 gm , how many do they have together?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

600gm

OpenStudy (jim766):

right....now 4 guys are going to divide it evenly, how much will each have?

OpenStudy (jim766):

* sorry 3 guys

OpenStudy (anonymous):

600/3=200

OpenStudy (jim766):

good, so the 3rd guy wants to pay ..... 1st guy had 2nd guy had 250/600 350/600 what percent of the total did each have?

OpenStudy (jim766):

250/600 = .416 times 100 = 41.6% 350/600 = .583 times 100 = 58.3%

OpenStudy (jim766):

since the problem doesnt day how much the 3rd guy was willing to pay...we cant really figure out an amount.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about rupees 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you mean to say that the statement iis incomplete

OpenStudy (jim766):

oh...sorry ..that means he paid 2 rupees. 2 * .416 =.832 rupees 2 * .583 = 1.076 rupees I am not sure if it is possible to divide rupees up like this... so he might have to just pay each guy 1 rupee

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Perhaps I am misinterpreting the question but didn't the first two guys provide all the stuff? So whatever the third guy paid, The first guy should get 250/600 of it and the second guy should get 350/600 of it. What do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay and what about rupees 2

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Isn't that what the third guy paid?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (mertsj):

So whatever the third guy paid, The first guy should get 250/600 of it and the second guy should get 350/600 of it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it means jim has done correctly

OpenStudy (mertsj):

If he got .83 rupees and 1.17 rupees then I agree.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Jim766 and @Mertsj thank u both of u for clearing my doubt
