Well for the Trapezoidal Rule you're going to break up the graph into 8 trapezoids and add up all of their areas. The area for a trapezoid is \[A_{trapezoid} = h*\frac{b_{1} + b_{2}}{2}\] |dw:1367018218156:dw| You add up all of these areas and that's how you get the formula. Also, h will be equal to (b-a)/n
