Do you think Gatsby is an innocent victim, a foolish dreamer, or a guilty imposter?

Foolish Dreamer.

My personal opinion? He's an innocent victim by way of Daisy not choosing him when they were younger because he was poor. And she plays with his heart again later in the book. He's not foolish, nor an imposter. He is actually a nice man. Just a hopeless romantic :)

I agree with katie, but i also think he fits into the category of foolish dreamer. He loves Daisy, Yes. He is hopelessly in love, however, i believe that his dream to be with daisy is foolish because she is already married. She is married to a cheater, but she is married. She is a flower that is out of reach for him, yet he pursues her still. What I'm trying to say is that he is chasing somthing that can never be. Instead of wasting his time trying to be with her he should have moved on.
