I'm trying to eliminate the parameter: x = 5 cos t, y = 5 sin t I tried solving for t: t=arccos(x/5),t=arcsin(y/5) what do I do next?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Simply do this... x/5 = cost and y/5 = sint .... Square and add both of them to get rid of 't'.... (Because in the Right hand side you would be getting sin^2t + cos^2t which is equal to 1) Hope this makes sense :-)

Oh yes! Thank you that was very clear and helpful! :)

My pleasure :-> (It's great when someone appreciates ... hahaha...)
