simply b^2-2b-15/5-b

OpenStudy (silverlark2):

First simplify b^2-2b-15 using cross factorization method. You should get (b+3)(b-5)

OpenStudy (silverlark2):

So now you'll have (b+3)(b-5)/(5-b). In order to make (b-5) to (5-b), you need to multiply the entire fraction by -1 (note that denominator isn't affected) so essentially it'll become -1((b+3)(b-5))/5-b which will then give you (b-3)(5-b)/(5-b).

OpenStudy (silverlark2):

At this point, you can cancel out (5-b) from the numerator and denominator, leaving you with (b-3) :)

i think -1(b +3)= (-b-3)
