How to factor difference of two squares?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(x+y)(x-y)=x^2-y^2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\left( a + b \right) \left( a - b \right) = a{^2} - b{^2}\] The factors of \[a{^2} - b {^2}\] are (a + b) and (a - b) * Remember: The algebraic term is a perfect square when the numerical coefficient (number in front of the variables) is a perfect square. Then the exponents of all variables are even numbers. Hope this helps you, and was what you were looking for :)
