sketch a graph of y=f(x) f(x)=-4x+5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x) = -4x + 5 -> y = -4x + 5 find x-intercept and y-intercept of the graph x-intercept: y = 0 -> you'll get the value for x y-intercept: x = 0 -> you'll get the value for y connect those two coordinates and you'll get the graph, it will form a line

i'm not sure what to do with that f(x) in front of the equals sign.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x) is he same as y in coordinate system for example: if you use x = 1 -. y = f(1) = -4(1) + 5 = 1 so you'll get coordinate of (1, 1)

ok...I will try! Thanks for your help. I don't think I did it correctly....I got -1x =x, but i'm not sure how to find y.
