OpenStudy (deogwa88):

what are some great books to pick up diff eq on my own?

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

Well, you could try advanced engineering mathematics by O'neil, MIT opencourseware, Khan academy, Paul's online math notes, etc.

OpenStudy (deogwa88):

Ok thanks what seems to be the most difficult thing in diff eq so far to you?

OpenStudy (deogwa88):

p.s. you know any download sites for those books?

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

Lack of motivation to study it. I can further discuss things on skype if you wish - add inkyvoyd on skype and I will give you more info that I know.

OpenStudy (deogwa88):

man i have no idea how to set up skype im a 25 yr old cave man

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

Do you have an email? We can correspond there.

OpenStudy (deogwa88):

yea where can i learn to set up skype for future reference?...y email, whats wrong with messaging on openstudy?

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

Well, there's a bit of info I'd like to mention, and messaging on openstudy is a bit inconvenient for me. as for skype, there's a download link here. http://www.skype.com/en/download-skype/skype-for-computer/

Differential Equations with Boundary Value Problems by Dennis G. Zill. (You can find FREE online) I used that book and I think that the examples used before exercise problems are VERY clear. Also, the exercise problems are quite challenging. Very good for a physical science or engineering student. Also want to add that it goes beyond what is expected in an ODE's course. It also covers partial differential equations, fourier series and trasnform, which are also courses that some engineers cover. It's an overall great book and highly recommend it. I use it still to this day to refer back to problems for practice or just to refresh my memory.

Differential Equations for Dummies is very easy to understand. Hint (it's easily obtainable online). Google the pdf.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just sent you an email.

OpenStudy (deogwa88):

HEY BY THE WAY THANKS ALOT TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you guys know of any great online video resources

OpenStudy (abb0t):

all the MIT lecture videos are great for helping with differential equations. I used a few during the systems portion of ODE's.
