If x is the probability of an event happening, then which of the following represents x? x < 0 0 < x < 1 0 ≤ x ≤ 1

@mattt9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the last one, the probabilyty takes values between 0 and 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you have a negative probability of something happening? can you have a probability of something happening greater than 1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its the last one @julian25 is wright

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you think of probabilities, the minimum must be zero, because it might be possible that the event can't happen (probability 0), the same holds for probability 1 that says that the event must happen, so the first is wrong because the probability cant be lower than 0, the second is wrong because it excludes probabilities 1 and 0, so it is the third one wich take those into consideration

@julian25 try to give more of an explanation

yes i know sorry
