Algebra help!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hartnn (hartnn):

To find the period, you should determine after how much time, a particular point repeats itself. For first graph, lets pick a peak point at say x--5 when does that peak repeat ? (at what value of x ?)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that for the first question or for the second?

hartnn (hartnn):

First.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok.

hartnn (hartnn):

infact 'To find the period, you should determine after how much time, a particular point repeats itself.' is valid for both

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4 seconds

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the second question is about 12

hartnn (hartnn):

$ is correct :)

hartnn (hartnn):

**4

hartnn (hartnn):

in 1) the peak repeats at x=1 again, right ? so, from -5 to 1 is.... ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6

hartnn (hartnn):

yes :)

hartnn (hartnn):

oh, yes...i saw numbers now.. for 2. its 6 fo other its 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK!! Thanks!

hartnn (hartnn):

welcome ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have another one Can you help??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hartnn (hartnn):

does any point on that graph repeats itself ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think so.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But I was wondering if there's just another way to do it. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hartnn (hartnn):

so for that it was non-periodic

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I posted question 4. :)

hartnn (hartnn):

an u tell irs period ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The period is 1.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But I don't know how to get amplitude.

hartnn (hartnn):

the peak point which is at 2, when does it repeat ? period is not 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh I see 2

hartnn (hartnn):

yes :)

hartnn (hartnn):

Ampitude = |Highest point -lowest point| /2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the amplitude is 0.5

hartnn (hartnn):

yes, A = |0-1|/2 = |-1|/2 = 1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the period is 0.05

hartnn (hartnn):

yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The amplitude I am not so sure about

hartnn (hartnn):

the highest point is around 4.5 , right ? |dw:1367507596644:dw| whats the lowest point ?
