y= 1/ (-x^2-7) interchange x and y x = 1/ (-y^2 -7) can you try to isolate y from this ? that y will be your inverse function

yes, cross-multipl :) x (-y^2-7) = 1 so, x (y^2+7) = -1 now how about distributing x ?
