You can either use pythagoras theorem. OR u can use trigonometry. Sin of 60 = perp. side of length A/hypotenuse of length 8 root 3 etc

confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok cut that. You know about the pythagoras theorem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isnt it a^2+b^2=c^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. So C is hypotenuse , B and A are the legs. so C = hypotenuse is 8 root 3 here. so (8 root 3)^2 = (4 root 3)^2 + a^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8 root 3 ^2 = 24 and 4 root of 3 ^2 = 12?
