find the 50th term of the sequence that begins -4, 2, 8, 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we can see that this is a arithmetic sum, where the difference in the terms is 6. to find the nth term, we can do (6(n-1)-4): the -4 is there since the first term starts with -4. so 6(50-1)-4 == 6*49-4 which is 290
