how can i memorize chemical equations
What do you mean for a test or something? in that case i'd put them in my graphing calculator :)
For organic reactions, it follows a certain pattern. Understand that pattern and all the compounds will follow the same pattern. For inorganic, you have to learn them. Sometimes you can understand, for example, if a carbonate reacts with a acid (say) , then it will always liberate CO2. For complex ones, you could try and remember them in a kind of riddle or song or mnemonic (i did that). Another way is( for equations like this): K2Cr2O7 + 14 HCl = 2 KCl + 2 CrCl + 7 H2O + 5 Cl2 I just remembered that there are 14 moles of HCl. That is also a good way. If you are doing high school level equations, most of the reactions will give usual products, not weird ones. Otherwise, try breaking the two reacting compounds ( this can be followed very rarely) into ions and then exchange the ions.... Something from the above will work :)
Practice solving passage-based questions from the practice tests or use EK. After doing enough of those, any equation, no matter how complex, will be drilled in your head.
Thanks y'all for the tips! I hope this works! :) @thomaster not a test , i have my final exam in june!
