what is the product of simplify if possible

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2\sqrt{10k}*5k \sqrt{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm working on it. i'll get the answer in a few a and explain it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thnx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so the 1st step for this problem is to put like terms together, so you get: \[2*5k \sqrt{10k}*\sqrt{2}\] which then you multiply the like terms together and you get: \[10k \sqrt{20k}\] you understand this part so far

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have to go real quick but you can fifnish witing it out and ill reply when i come back

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok next step is look at the square root. you have \[\sqrt{20k}\] you can simplify that further down and get \[\sqrt{4*5}\sqrt{k}\] simplified further you have \[\sqrt{4}\sqrt{5}\sqrt{k}\] we know \[\sqrt{4}=2\] so now we have \[10k*2*\sqrt{5}\sqrt{k}=20k*\sqrt{5}\sqrt{k}\] now look and see we have a \[k\]& \[\sqrt{k}\] which when multiplied you get \[k^\frac{ 3 }{ 2 } \] now put the whole thing together and you have \[20\sqrt{5}k^\frac{ 3 }{ 2 }\]

thnx

you welcome
