Which influence out of these has the most power over how people vote? Explain. Political Parties Peers/ Social Background Election Issues/ Personal Beliefs Television and Radio The Internet
I'd like to say all of the above but then they want you to choose the best of all of them, so... I would have to go with the Internet. How, might you ask? Ad campaigns can be run through the internet straight to your computer to be displayed right before you see a video for example. You can also research all of the political backgrounds, you can research what each party stands for, etc. You can also talk to your friends about it from all over the world, have heated or friendly discussions while furthering your knowledge on the matters. So the internet of all, seems to be the most influential. I hope I helped! (:
Thanks! It's supposed to be a five paragraph essay, so I don't know how I'm going to turn that into a essay, but I'll try!
Well I could write you an essay, but it's not like anyone is giving me a cookie if I did LOL.
Haha, yeah, but it would be SOOOOOOO appreciated! :)
You're right. But I have math that I'm not doing that I should be doing (even though we all know I won't do it.) :D Give me a second. (x Don't wait on me though, I may or may not do it LOL. Let's see...
The most influential of all the choices for me would have to be the internet. I have chosen this for many reasons above things such as radio & television, election issues/personal beliefs, etc. To begin, I would have to address that the internet in itself is a powerful tool to replace many marketing methods. For one, internet marketing is much more dynamic and in such you can target the direct demographic that you want to hit hardest with your election campaign. Secondly, it replaces the TV in some areas with its ability to hit a proper demographic through a website such as Youtube. Videos tend to have an advertisement before them, many have the option to skip if you aren't interested in it. If you are, you can keep watching and then the advertiser pays the rest of the money for it. This greatly allows for you to decide who you would vote for more. Finally, I cannot stress enough how powerful social networking is. You can discuss all these matters with your friends in heated discussions or just friendly conversation. This will greatly allow for more common sense to be brought out and views to be shared from many angles, allowing for a less biased view of a matter. You can also review the facts and other such things through the internet's vast array of search engines. For example if you wanted to know what socialism was and what it stood for, look it up. Then you can see why so and so party is for or against it. To conclude, I strongly believe that while the internet may not always fill in all the gaps, it fills in quite a bit as a powerful tool for knowledge and sometimes propaganda. If there is one thing that I should tell you before embarking on your researching adventure, it would be to always take what you see on the internet or anywhere for that matter with a grain of salt. As in, don't always believe what you hear or see, stop and think about it yourself.
How do you like it? (x I rushed it a bit, I know, but it's pretty nice imo.
