OpenStudy (aravindg):

substitute cos^2 x-1 with -sin^2 x in denominator

OpenStudy (aravindg):

can you do it now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no :(

OpenStudy (aravindg):

sin^2 x+ cosx + cos^2 x-1=sin^2 x+cos x -sin^2 x =cos x

OpenStudy (aravindg):

so denominator is simply cos x

OpenStudy (aravindg):

now cos x/cos x =1 done !

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Did that help ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a little

OpenStudy (aravindg):

why only little? whats your doubt?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i not good with this subject in pre-alc at all

OpenStudy (aravindg):
