how to graph y functions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i knw about x functions, i just wanna know about y ones. Lets say for example we are suppose to graph\[x=y^2-4y+2\], \[x=y^{2/3}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please list easy methods or shortcuts too....they should be graphed in less than a minute

OpenStudy (hunus):

They're the same you just rotate the graph 90 degrees |dw:1367938989377:dw| http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=x%3Dy%5E2%E2%88%924y%2B2%2C+y%3Dx%5E2-4x%2B2

no rotating 90 degrees works for some but not for most

heres example of my statement http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=x%3Dy%5E3%E2%88%924y%2B2%2C+y%3Dx%5E3-4x%2B2

OpenStudy (hunus):

bleh. Flip it about the line y=x. My bad.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how? show me

OpenStudy (hunus):

You graph it pretty much the same way you would a function of x. Like if you turn your head to look at the graph except now y+ is left and y- is right

i am really confused...i know we would be allowed to use graphing calculators but fir this kinda functions its confusing...by looking graphs i can assume that they are reflecting on y=x line but still how to make this kinda graph
