(sin^2(theta)+cos^2(theta) )/cos^2(theta)=sec^2(theta)

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

sin^2(theta)+cos^2(theta)=1 1/cos^2(theta)=sec^2(theta) Does that help? @messinalexy

not really. but i dont really understand math at all so its not your fault

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

I guess u need to prove that identity. let us take the expression on the left side of the equation. (sin^2(theta)+cos^2(theta) )/cos^2(theta) and show that it is equal to sec^2(theta). sin^2(theta)+cos^2(theta)=1 1/cos^2(theta)=sec^2(theta)

okay
