Factor the polynomial by grouping: 3n^3-3n^2+n-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Luis_Rivera mind helping me in this problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

From first two terms if you factor out 3n that what will you get??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean from this: \[3n^3 - 3n^2\] Take \(3n^2\) common from both..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

n^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take common from both.. See here: \[\large 3n^3 - 3n^2 + (n-1) \implies 3n^2(n - 1) + 1(n-1)\] \[\large \implies (3n^2+1)(n-1)\]
