Can I get a little bit of help? These kinds of questions make me struggle a lot.

Divide both sides by -3 to get x on it's own - when dividing or multiplying an inequality by a negative, the inequality sign flips direction. \[\Large -3x \le 12\]

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Hello, Chase. \[-3 \le 12\] Just like an equation, say if I had -3x = 12, I'd divide -3 by 12. That is: \[\frac{ -3 }{ 12 } = -0.25\] So, the first step to solving the inequality would be dividing -3 by 12. REMEMBER, that when you divide or multiple by a negative number, the inequality sign reverses. Meaning: If I had a less than sign and divide by negative 1, I'd then have a greater than sign.
