Can someone please check my answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sam (.sam.):

Which one you choose? lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My answer is 2.5

sam (.sam.):

Nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the question is what is the slope at x = 0. both lines meet up at this point. since sam won't answer i won't either. guess again :)

sam (.sam.):

Wanna try again? farmergirl?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then it is 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that right

sam (.sam.):

nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that right

sam (.sam.):

nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then does it not exist

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont understnad what I am doing wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sam can you help me

sam (.sam.):

You know that if you can find the equation, then differentiate it you'll get the answer

sam (.sam.):

Take (1,4) and (0,1) m=3 Then use point slope formula y-1=3(x-0) y=3x+1 differentiate it you'll get y=3 Which means f'(x)=3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok I am following or some reason when I said 2.5 I meant to type 3 oh my goodness. Ok so just double checking 3 is the answer?

sam (.sam.):

There are 2 sides, so you'll have to do this again for the other side, the gradient is, -1/2 Equation will be y=-1/2x +1 differentiate it you'll get -1/2

sam (.sam.):

So its 3 and -1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks
