Can someone help me do an experimental design with this please. How is stomach acid neutralized in the small intestine?

OpenStudy (rogue):

Well in the beginning part of the small intestine, the duodenum, bicarbonate ions (HCO3-) neutralizes gastric acid (stomach acid). If you wanted to simulate neutralizing stomach acid for an experiment, you can react sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) with hydrochloric acid (HCl, gastric acid's main component).
