What strategy did Buddhist and Christian missionaries employ to spread their faith that Muslims didn't? A. Conversion of merchants B. Use of artifacts C. Forceful conversion of others D. Conversion of kings and other elite figures

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think its should be conversion of merchants.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C is clearly wrong because Islam is quite famous for their forced conversion. D is wrong because Islam's one of key reason for success was their conversion of political elites. Its either A or B but I do remember reading about how Islamic merchants spread their religion by trade (both overland and through marine trade). Also I don't think Islam had "artifact" (if you don't count Koran as artifact that is)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think it is B as Christians did not use artefacts, So it either D as Muslims did not target any particular type of people, or C or A. Muslims didn't forcefully convert anyone, and I don't think Buddhists or Christian's did that so it is probably A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is definitely "D. Conversion of kings and other elite figures"
