Which of the following is not an arithmetic sequence? A: 4, 6, 11, 12, ... B: 4, 6, 8, 10, ... C: 5, 6, 7, 8, ... D: 10, 20, 30, 40, ...

OpenStudy (primeralph):

for an Arith. series, there is a common difference; meaning each term minus the previous is constant for any row. For example, in D: 20-10 = 10 and 30-20 =10, so it is an Arith. series. Look for the option that doesn't do this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for example, from 4 to 6 is an increase of 2, but from 6 to 11 is not

OpenStudy (primeralph):

@satellite73 you should not be stating answers explicitly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why not i dont need help i need the answer it would be better if you explain why the answer is what it is.

OpenStudy (primeralph):

the rule says we should not post answers, not my decision.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont read rules... awk.

OpenStudy (primeralph):

well, good luck with that. Hope you understand the stuff though.
