If we simplify the second equation, we get a similar equation to the first one: 3y-18x=12 3y=12+18x y=6x+4 But there is a slight difference here. The slopes of both equations are the same (4), but the y intercepts are different. If we try to picture these two lines, we would have two parallel lines, but slightly off from one another. If that's the case, then they don't ever intersect at any points, meaning there is no point where the two functions are equal. That means there is no solution, D.
