What would happen if we tried to use more conventional distance units, such as kilometers, miles, etc???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as opposed to what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know thats what he gave me to do nuthin but this

OpenStudy (primeralph):

some everyday distances would hard to convey. Say, the height of a boy would be like 0.002km, which ain't very neat to use.

rigth

OpenStudy (primeralph):

ze medal?

It seems like a strange question because .002km would still be understandable. k being kilo, so it;s the same as 2 meters. Miles on the other hand, have to be converted to fee to be understood. A 6 foot person would be .00114 miles high. Very difficult to understand.

America would no longer be a free country. Obviously.

OpenStudy (primeralph):

err, we all saying the same thing here.

Is this question about converting to metric? Because if it is, I can tell you the day we switch over to metric, would be a day to be remembered. In fact, we might consider turning that day into a national holiday. To us engineers, it would be 4th of July. Screw pi day. Bring on metric day!

OpenStudy (primeralph):

@ajmayberry heck yeah. I hate the base 12 system and I like 0 to be my freezing point.
