Which relation does not represent a function? (-7, 3), (-3, 1), (1, -4), (5, -6) (-4, 2), (1, 5), (-4, 0), (5, 6) (2, 0), (4, 8), (6, 5), (10, 5) (-3, 6), (-1, 1), (0, 4), (3, 7)

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

The second one. You can't have the same input with multiple outputs, so f(-4) can't be 2 and 0.

so it will be letter b

i really need help with this

If you put one thing in, you must get one thing out. There can't be two possible things. Example: suppose there was an exam function. If you put in a student's name, you get their test score. Suppose we put in Sara's name and get 97%, all the time. That's okay. But if you put in Sara's name and sometimes get 97% and sometimes get 46%, that's not a function. Hope I made it a little clearer. Sorry, that wasn't the best explanation.

thanks :) but im a little confused
