Can Anyone help? http://www.clipular.com/c?5976006=lJ-eT_bH6NAtMo91zx--w36k1Ck&f=.png Ah! Thanks!! :3

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

Combine like terms. Add up all the coefficients (non variable numbers) with j after them and all the coefficients with k after them 8k + 12k - 4k = (8+12-4)k = 16k 15j + 6j - 3j = (15 + 6 - 3)j = 18j So the correct answer is A

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Combine together all terms that have k. Then combine together all terms that have j. Terms that have the same variable, such as j, are called like terms and can be combined together. Terms with k can be combined together. Terms with j and terms with k are not like terms and can't be combined together.
