@ganeshie8

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

do u see 3 lines in red

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes I do

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

one horizontal, two vertical

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

can you tell me equations for each of the line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ummmm -3,0

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

whats -3,0

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

im asking the equations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I looked at the points I don't know the equations

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

either you knw it, or not. just dont tell some random stuf..

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

ok then you dont knw how to form an equation of line, by looking at the line in graph, is that right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

thank you :) lets work on it them. cuz u wil be doing more problems. you will need to knw it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

we will be going slow

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

if you're sleepy and dont want to learn, its fine, say so. just dont waste my time ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im still here!

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

sounds great :) lets start

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

lets start with identifying 3 things :- 1. origin 2. x-axis 3. y-axis

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

can you tell me what you know about each of those above words.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the orgin is the center of everything and the x and y axis are the two axis in the graph (can't really explain them that well but I know what they are)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

good :) i see you knw them very well

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

lets go to equations straight.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

equation of x-axis is : y=0 equation of y-axis is : x=0

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

do you knw why those equations are like that ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do I have to explain it lol but yes?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

|dw:1368771748594:dw|

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

you dont have to explain me, but make sure you explain it urself and things are clear in your head. as we are going step by step from scratch, use this time to learn it fully :)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

look at X axis : every point on it has y-value of 0, so we write its equation as y=0

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

same is the case for Y axis, when we write its equation as x=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

we can move on if you're clear about equations of x-axis, and y-axis. we will be using this in solving our present proble, in the end.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alrite
