The immigrants who came to the United States during the last half of the 1800s were attracted by the American Dream, the idea that a person’s destiny was determined by his or her own choices. If someone chose to work hard, he could make a better life for himself. Many immigrants who settled in big cities met with a hard reality in miserable living conditions and dangerous factory jobs. Yet these people often encouraged friends and relatives to join them in America. Do you think they still believed in the American Dream after experiencing such harsh conditions? If they were disappointed by the
by the economic opportunities of the United States, why do you think they might have encouraged others to join them? Explain.
lml. You want someone else's answer to an essay question?
Obviously.
I dont think you understand the conundrum you have created by asking for someone else's answer to an opinionated question.
There are plenty of questions on here asking for someones opinion. I posted the question knowing I'd get opinionated answers, and therefore I didn't care. Don't tell me " I don't think you understand". I'm not some unintelligent naive human being that you'd probably assume. If you don't have a intellectual response, then I don't need you commenting.
