A jar contains 3 chocolate cookies, 5 peanut butter cookies, and 6 coconut cookies. If 3 cookies are selected in succession, what is the probability of selecting chocolate, then peanut butter, and then coconut cookies, if replacement occurs each time?
This is the exact same question as your last one...just different numbers
use 3, 5, and 6 in place of 6, 8, and 4
do i still use the 18?
no...for this one, the total number of objects is 3+5+6...what does that equal?
so it will be 3/14, 5/14, 6/14?
multiplied together, yes
i multiplied em together and got 0.032798834
i got the right answer thanks
Looks right...not sure if you are supposed to give a decimal answer or a fraction. for a fraction it would be (3*5*6)/(14*14*14) = 90/2744
no problem...glad i could help
