OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2\sqrt{2x-2}+1=\sqrt{8x+1}\]

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

maybe start wid squaring both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did that but didn't get the correct answer. help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

square and solve. again take the term with radical sign on one side & &other terms on other side again square & solve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can someone take me through step by step?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whatever you do to one side you have to do to the other.. so you would start by squaring each side. and when you square a square root, they erase each other out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know im suppose to square both sides but im having trouble squaring the left side...
