see the left side
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
you have two points on y axis
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Those are 0.5 and 0.2 ?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
you can think of those grids as floors in an apartment
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
one point is at 2nd floor :- 0 , 2
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
another point is at 5th floor :- 0, 5

ok that makes sense
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
good :) those are the left side points
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
now tell me, how many floors are in between those two points
OpenStudy (anonymous):
there are 2 floors between

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
think again
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
if you're in 2nd floor, how many times you wud climb the stair case
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
first time :- 2nd to 3rd floor
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
second time :- 3rd to 4th floor
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
third time :- 4th to 5th floor

so it would be 3, I wasn't sure if you counted the 5th floor
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
actually i asked the question wrongly...
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
i shoudl have asked, how high is 5th floor from the 2nd floor or something like that... but you get the point right.
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
now look at the third point

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
it is at 3rd floor :- (5, 3)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes I get the point.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes it is
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
with reference to this point, tell me the floor numbers that will be at same distance as we got before.. 3 floors away.
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
ground floor, will be 3 floors away from the 3rd floor, right ?

yes
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
so the other point for parallelogram is (5, 0)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
you can also have the other point as (5, 6)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
cuz 6th floor is also 3 floors away from the 3rd floor
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
look at options and pick
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
one of those two points wud be there in options
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I originally thought it was 5,3
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
(5, 3) is already a given point.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
how can another point be at the same point ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
that makes sense, so would it be 5,0, that was my first choice but than I changed it.
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
Yes. its (5,0), since (5,6) is not given. in parallelogram opposite sides are equal. thats why the coordinates difference of both left side and right side should match (here it is 3 floors)
